The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning out of the back straight on the final circuit, involving Le Coq Hardi, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, Ma Jacks Hill, ridden by D.J Gilligan and Shadow Paddy, ridden by G.B. Noonan where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.J. O'Keeffe stated that he was on the outside and kept his racing line. D.J Gilligan stated that his mount was jumping right throughout and lugged inwards approaching the bend which he had reported at scales. G.B. Noonan stated that the gap closed when he went for it. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted that D.J Gilligan's mount was a difficult ride and therefore took no further action.

T. Power Roche, rider of Give Him A Chance, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

D.J Gilligan, rider of Ma Jacks Hill, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout and lugged right at the top of the hill.

S. O'Callaghan, rider of Toon Town, trained by David O'Sullivan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around when hitting the front.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Springboard, trained by Michael J. McDonagh, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approaching the last fence involving Toon Town, ridden by S. O'Callaghan and One Way Traffic, ridden by P.T. Enright, where it appeared Toon Town switches across. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. O'Callaghan stated that his mount hung left off the home bend, jumped right at the second last at which point that he pulled his stick through to straighten his mount and was unaware that One Way Traffic was as close to him as he was. P.T. Enright stated that he had to snatch up for a stride as Toon Town switched across him but felt this did not affect his finishing position. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found S. O'Callaghan, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for two racedays.

P.T. Enright, rider of One Way Traffic, trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference between the last two fences.

C.M. Quirke, rider of Springboard, trained by Michael J. McDonagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

131E Munster Drilling Beginners S'chase

The Raceday Stewards received a request from Cian Collins, trainer of Sporting Glance (FR), to substitute the nominated rider B.W. Harvey, with D.J. Gilligan, as his intended mount was a non-runner. The trainer stated that D.J. Gilligan frequently rides for him when available, he had ridden the animal previously and as it was Sporting Glance's first time over fences, his preference was for D.J. Gilligan to take up the ride. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards denied the request on this occasion as B.W. Harvey had ridden the animal previously and they felt the request was not a valid one, as provided for under Regulation 3.

D.J O'Keeffe, rider of Rusty Harkness (GB), trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled after jumping the last fence and caught the winner’s heel. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no riding offence had occurred and that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Oneforgonzo, trained by Sean Aherne, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have given a cough during examination but to have been otherwise post race normal.

Michael Kenneally, rider of La Tene, trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped poorly and pulled up.
